Description

I just think this looks like a neat photo. Sorry, but I don't remember the exact settings my FS camera was using when doing the shooting.
Minus sound, here is a video of the fish being fed, again FS shooting:

I'm impressed by this image, Erin, and can see a lot of potential in it, but probably not for the same reasons that you do! At first glance, and most people only ever glance at photos, it looks a bit weird, a bit off-putting, not so cool. Yet, when I look at it, I see an image cleverly constructed, via cropping, to give a symmetric shot with an odd but compelling colour gradient from orange/yellow to blues; rigid patterns in the "cage" versus the fluid pattern of the fish; and an abstract feel to the whole composition. I would say you had a real think about this and how to achieve the effect. Could there be improvements? Yes, but such might not be possible with the camera and the circumstances. The focus/sharpness could be better, but the water and its refractions make that difficult to achieve. There is some graininess/noise that is detrimental, but lighting conditions were not under your control. Are the speckles of bread good or bad in the composition - you can argue either way on that?

Overall, the FS camera provides the interesting colour features and your eye and post-processing have provided a neat image that I have enjoyed studying!.

BTW - I enjoyed the movie version!
