Rhythm Racer

On the iPod and I'm sure the the iPhone there's a game that can be downloaded for it named "Rhythm Racer", the second of these games by the same title about is the one the developer pays attention to for adding new content. Whether it be version 1 or version 2 of the game. I find it very addicting and well done. Many games have come and gone on my iPod but this has stayed. It's like a psychedelic cross between F-Zero and Guitar Hero.

This painting tribute to the game, has been done in the style I noticed and enjoyed looking at for a very old Atari catalog, put out in I think '81. Every game the catalog tried to promote, either had a well done airbrushed painting, or one done with either acrylics or oils nearly looking like a movie poster.

<edit> I talked with Avatar Labs today, the developer of Rhythm Racer. There was talk of wanting this image as a poster in the employee lounge if I heard correctly. I got a request for a larger version of the painting as the result. This piece has been updated now to a much larger size that I believe would make for a good sized poster.

To the employee or employees of Avatar Labs that discovered this piece yesterday, thank you. Knowing the company saw this before being contacted about it is a wonderful compliment in my opinion.
