Punk Pony

This was done basically in response to 's reply to my latest journal entry. She gave the suggestion among a few others I do fan art for one or two of my favorite childhood cartoons. My Little Pony was not among them, but I've been collecting the toys for as long as I can remember. The two cartoons that rang to mind fastest sadly I currently have no ideas for fan art.

The idea that had this image come about was an old note I have towards one of the ponies in my collection, Baby Ribbon. I don't know if it's just mine or if others were made this way as well, but the mane on this toy buzzes forward like a mohawk. The thing has neon hair, it's a punk! I once called it grouped with others of it's type "nightmare babies". I bought Baby Ribbon along with two other Beddy Bye Eye Babies in a Goodwill a while back. Dirty little buggers, I have no idea what the previous owners once did with these guys. They've been cleaned up a lot since being purchased but their strange look still gets me for being called toys for kids with the nasty look they had ..which even cleaned up they still look odd.
