Neon isn't completely finished at this point but this photo gives you an idea for the end result. What's missing is a body I intend on making from a jacket and hands I'm going to try and make from the same foam as the head. I named the puppet Neon after it's hair which is a whig I got for 99 cents the other day in a thrift store. That's the only thing I had to buy to make this. The other components were already laying about thanks to older art projects.
No, I won't use Neon in a video any time soon. To answer two people that have asked me this over the net in the last 24 hours. I'm still in pain. Talking hurts me and my doctor still doesn't have a good idea what's wrong beyond Acid Reflux. It hurt to voice Caffeine High. So I'm not up for another video any time soon.
A further note and one about the puppet. I had to make a line down the neck if you can see that in the picture. It's not a seam. No, it was just too much fabric I couldn't get out of the way. The character would have looked like it had a turkey neck if I hadn't closed the fabric in on it's self. That issue is also where the goatee came from. It wasn't meant to be part of the design but it hides the rippled fabric at the mouth well.
