At first when I started working on this it was simply meant to be me trying to form some thing in Sculptris Alpha 6 that wasn't some thing at random. Some thing some one else had created and I had to follow guidelines to make. The "Teacher", Flinx's space ship out of the "Flinx and Pip" series by Alan Dean Foster came to mind for this because of it's simple appearance. Well simple shape. I used the art shown on the official website here: [link]
as my reference image to work by. After making the base model in Sculptris I just had to play with my new camera I got over Christmas. That's how the green screen sequence came into it. At this point I felt it needed a follow up. That became the in space departure from Earth and after that. Well I wasn't too sure. I deeply considered animating Flinx in PAP 4.0. This didn't happen for two reasons. One I wasn't sure where in the series to set the scene as for it being a piece of fan fiction. Second PAP takes a long time to make animation with. I love how the program works but even 12 seconds can take a week to finish working on with all work is said and done. Pip fighting with a Mid-World plant came to mind next. Some thing as you can see, Anime Studio 6 worked well with.
PS: I know I didn't put pink in Pip's wings. Sorry to those that notice this difference from book to toon.
