This is going to be moved to scraps, it's only in the main gallery right now because I want to submit it to an animation group to get opinions.

This was animated using Plastic Paper and is the first real animation I've done with the software that wasn't a test. It's much rougher than what I had in mind at first for the look behind the new Nelvana Doctor Who cartoons but I like the look ... it will be colored in & given a background through Paint Star. Remember this is just one small scene. There's a full length cartoon in mind attached to it.

The idea behind the splitting open hand & arm comes from a manga comic book I had ages ago named Mix Zine which had that happening to a person's face and the face of a dog. The reasoning behind a Cyberman doing this would be having the tools built into them and letting them come out to destroy / upgrade their victims.

That's really cool looking, and pretty fluent although I'm guessing there isn't that many frames in this one. It still looks good though. I like that there's more than just the splitting hand going on here as well, it gives a lot more life to the animation

Thank you and that's wonderful to hear :). Yes, there were few frames created in the making of this but I felt it really needed no more :).

This looks very cool! And I think the "shakiness" of the animation just adds to the scary / eerie effect. :)

wow thats a scary cyberman and very original for the short animation or gif as I like to call it. Course there is just something about the pipes out of the head with electricity doesn't scream cyberman to me though. Other than that great look.
