This has taken days to make and a lot of trouble shooting went into that process as well. The making of this video has been about half the day and into this evening. Early into getting ready to do the filming, putting on my costume I set the AC to come on at a lower temperature than normal. While filming due to having to do numerous takes. I was dripping sweat in the outfit and under my mask and helmet. Normally I get what I want after two takes. This took about 20. What took days with making this was making the costume. Painting over the mask parts and creating the helmet which by the way was custom molded to my head for shape. I think I woke up this morning with a headache due to faint fumes coming off the thing because of a lot of gluing the night before.
The idea to make this piece has been with me for a while. Not this idea per say but the idea of filming with green screening in mind, having me wear a body suit of one color. Making myself look animated. This film by the way is the first ever I've done that has a real object looking like it's interacting with a virtual one. That was tricky to say the least. The planet not really the rock.
The software used to create this was Corel Video Studio 12, Corel Painter, Bryce 7 Pro, Anime Studio 6, and Gimp.
This film is the precursor to the piece shown here:
@00:49Thanks , I spend so much time setting up, acting, then editing it .
So complex, it would be nice to have an excuse to use the outfit again considering what I paid to make it, plus using the motion tracking skill again I had to learn for it .
@00:49As soon as I get more ideas . Currently there's two ideas on hold. One is a cartoon colab. with another artist here, the other is a animated music video.
